Ms. Koong is the chairman of the Risk Committee of the Board. She is also a member of each of the Audit Committee, Nomination Committee and Remuneration Committee of the Board.

Koong Hui Jiun is a Partner at the firm, specialising in litigation and dispute resolution. With over 15 years of experience, she has built a strong reputation for handling complex matters across contractual disputes, industrial relations, debt recovery, tort claims, company law, and insolvency proceedings. Her practice is rooted in a deep understanding of court procedures and strategic advocacy, making her a trusted advisor in navigating contentious legal issues.

 

Background

Koong Hui Jiun graduated with an LLB (Hons) from the University of the West of England in 2006 and obtained her Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) in 2008. She began her legal career as a pupil at Messrs. Cheang & Ariff, where she was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 29 August 2009. Following her admission, she continued with the firm as a Legal Assistant in the litigation department, gaining hands-on experience in court procedures and case management.
In 2010, she joined Messrs. Michael Chow as a Legal Assistant to the partner, where she expanded her exposure to a wide range of litigation work, including general, banking, and civil matters. Her early years in practice laid a strong foundation for her expertise in handling complex disputes and navigating the intricacies of Malaysian legal proceedings.
